Insight originally began in 1987 as a result of a family relocating to Atlanta from St. Louis, Missouri. This family was involved in Crossroads enthusiastic sobriety program in St. Louis and after moving, decided they wanted a similar program in their new home town. Over time a number of teenagers became interested and soon a program was organized. The name of the program was Atlanta Insight.

Clint Stonebraker was hired in 1990 as Program Director of Atlanta Insight and in 1993 organized a corporation, Stonebraker's Inc., which took over management. Insight in Atlanta is still owned and operated by Stonebraker's Inc.

In 2004 they changed the name from Atlanta Insight to The Insight Program to reflect the expansion of The Insight Program to Augusta, Georgia and Greensboro, North Carolina.

If you have an issue with any of these centers and have been unable to resolve the conflict through the proper Insight channels. You may wish to contact Regulatory Services at 404-657-5411.

We believe that the family who originated the Atlanta Insight program will have some additional facts to share regarding the inception of this program. We are hoping that they or someone they know reads this and the family chooses to add their own facts in order to create a more accurate account of those programs.
